Subscription terms

The short version. ClearyKeys Premium costs €4.99 a month or €49.99 a year. The first 7 days are free. It renews automatically, and you can cancel at any time in Google Play. If you cancel, Premium stays on until the end of the period you’ve paid for.
1What Premium is
ClearyKeys Premium is an optional subscription that adds features to the app, including the full theory course, the performance course, sight-reading controls, scale workouts, full Practice Lab programmes, unlimited recordings and practice analytics. The current list is on our home page. Every tool in ClearyKeys can also be used for free.
Premium is sold by Lorcan Cleary, trading as ClearyKeys, and billed through Google Play. These subscription terms add to our terms of use and to the Google Play Terms of Service.
2Price

Prices include VAT. Outside the euro area, Google Play shows the price in your own currency before you confirm.
3Free trial
New subscribers get the first 7 days of Premium free. Google Play tells you the date the trial ends when you start it.
If you cancel before the trial ends, you pay nothing. If you don’t, your subscription starts when the trial ends and Google Play charges you for the plan you chose.
4Renewal
Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each month or year, and Google Play charges the payment method on your Google account, until you cancel.
5Cancelling
You can cancel at any time:
- Open the Play Store and tap your profile picture.
- Tap Payments and subscriptions, then Subscriptions.
- Choose ClearyKeys and tap Cancel subscription.
Premium stays on until the end of the period you’ve paid for, and you won’t be charged again. Deleting the app does not cancel the subscription. Everything you’ve practised stays in the app when Premium ends.
6Refunds
Payments are taken by Google Play, so refunds are requested through Google Play’s refund process. You’re also welcome to email us and we’ll help. We don’t refund part of a period after you cancel, except where the law requires it.
7Right of withdrawal
If you’re a consumer in the EU, you may have a legal right to withdraw from a purchase within 14 days. How it applies depends on what you agreed to at checkout in Google Play. To use it, request a refund through Google Play or email us at clearykeys@gmail.com. This doesn’t affect your other rights under consumer law.
8New phones and restoring
Premium is linked to the Google account you used to subscribe. On a new phone, sign in to Google Play with the same account, install ClearyKeys and tap Restore a purchase. Your practice data doesn’t move with the subscription, so use Save a backup on the old phone first.
9Price and feature changes
If the price goes up, Google Play tells you in advance, and you can cancel before the new price applies.
We’ll keep adding to Premium. If we ever take away a major Premium feature, we’ll tell you in the app first, and you can cancel. If we stop offering Premium altogether, we’ll tell you in advance and you won’t be charged for any period after that. Where the law requires it, you’ll get a refund for time you’ve paid for and can’t use.
